This is why I avoid yard work as much as possible

I must admit...I am getting better, but spiders have to be my number one fear. This "friendly" little yard friend was in my yard today. I don't even know if have the guts to leave this picture up for very long. I did get a lot accomplished today with the help of Deena. We bought the things necessary to organize our outdoor storage room. we are going to do cork board on one wall and then shelves on the side. This way maybe the wagon can come home from Marmie and Papa's house and stay here. I got the room painted, and then planted purple and yellow flowers in the front flower beds. Lorelei got to help me plant them and she loved it. We got all dirty! Everytime she would put a flower in the hole she would say "more please" till I gave her another. We had a good time together, and hopefully Danny and I can get everything finished in the storage closet tomorrow! Should be a lazy day at home other than that.

What is that smell

I have decided that this pregnancy has given me that pregnancy nose that you hear people talk about. I, for the last 8 weeks, have smelled the strangest smell in my house. I am the only one who smells it and can not determine where it is coming from. So, I have tried many methods of getting rid of it. None that have been successful to this very day. right now my house smells like glade clean linen. Which is great. We will see how long that lasts. I guess if the outcome is a clean house that is a good thing.

Lorelei and I are having a nice quiet week at home. I am slowly getting things done that need to be done and working on some sewing projects!! I finally get to start making Lorelei some fall stuff! And now that she is getting bigger I have so many more options of cute things to make her. Maybe I can get some pics of that soon.

How does time go by so fast!?!

It really seems like just yesterday that Lorelei was a baby in my arms. Just lying there doing nothing but eating and sleeping. (and making tons of diapers for me to change) Now it seems we have a little toddler walking around our house with a mind of her own and a personality to match! She is so funny these days. She has taken to her baby dolls...if they fall down she picks them up and kisses them. She talks to them and puts them "night, night." Although one day I asked her to show me how she was sweet to her baby and she proceeded to raise her arm up and catapult her baby across the room! I guess we need to work on that one before her brother or sister arrives. :)

She now mimicks everything that we say to her and it is the sweetest thing ever. She is a pro at "I luv u" which is so sweet. She loves the time that she spends with her grandparents! She gets excited at even the mention of visiting. What a blessing it is to have them all in town.

Lorelei is showing great intrest in potty training. In face everytime that we have tried to go we have been sucessful. I have a feeling if I were to dedicate a few days to it she would catch on pretty quickly. Hopefully we will be out of diapers by April!! What an expense that would be great to be done with.

We are still waiting on more information about the insurance though Danny's new job opportunity with the National Guard as their graphic designer. Hopefully we will hear something this week that is good. So, we are still deep in prayer about that one.

Till next time!

Are we going in a new direction?

It is so fun to watch God build our family and our lives. Sometimes it amazes me. No, not sometimes....all of the time! He just has a divine plan for our lives and we still try to take it into our own hands. We pray and think....God can do this, but in the back of our mind we think, but just in case, what is my plan? If only we could live our lives as faithful to Him as He is to us.

Back towards the end of February Danny and I began to pray about his job situation. Just about God's will and what he would have us to do. so, we decided, like we have many times in our marriage, to make a list and pray about very specific things for God to answer, and we decided to place a 6 months time period on it. Kinda strange sounding, but it is what we felt led to do. We felt led that if the things we were praying for did not come to pass by the end of the "time frame" it would be our way of knowing that it was time for danny to start looking for a new job.

Fast forward to present day....A few weeks ago someone came into the shop talking about a graphic design job coming open and wanting to know if they knew anyone that would be interested. Danny prayed about it and decided that he wanted to take a chance at it. Well, a week later before he could even get his resume to them they asked him to design something for them. They loved it and offered him the job! Crazy! Well, Danny and I are talking about it and praying about it and realize that it has been 6 months to the day that we started praying. God is AWESOME!!!!

Right now, we are waiting to see if everything is going to work out, but the end result is that God has our lives in the palm of His hand, how can we not trust Him!!!

I will update as I know more.
